I Fell in Love with Someone Else’s Man

Damn!
The first word of a fool.
When will I learn to accept things forbidden?
That I cannot have what I want when I want.

Damn!
In the name of being honest.
When will I realize that you’re not mine?
Should’ve stopped looking for the sign of the hopeful seeker.

Damn!
thought I saw forever in you
Yet, I cannot just leave whenever I want
and come back whenever I want when I wanted to.

Damn!
I lost the bet of love
I fell in love with someone else’s man.
I’m sorry I’m late – too early for the next show.

Damn!
In this state of eternal damnation
Probably have to wake up in this dream
Live in the moment of what’s rightfully in store today.

Damn!
When all is said and done
An einsteinette in your metaphorical knock out round
In a counterfeit diamond for a counterfeit emotion of lies.

Damn!
The last word of a dope.
I see the horizon in bliss and contentment
Now that I see you clearer in smoke and mirror.

At the end of the day, the only person to blame here is me.
I’m sorry, it is my fault – I fell in love with someone else’s man.

Where Do Miracles Hide?

Mary points the way.
Knock on the door once close
Enfolded with the chain of doom
Only the right key can open.

The luxury of time ain’t here to play
Drugged by the pills on a daily dose
Lie in the bed of a white room
where justice is served often.

Word of mouth is following the ray.
Knees bend begging for a loose
Tears fall asking for a wonder to loom
Summoning the Saints for the plea to co-pen.

Where do miracles hide?
Nothingness suddenly appears to preside.
Are miracles a holy grail that is hard to find?
Or was it a product of an imaginative mind?

Are We All We Are?

A world blessed by the guiding light.
A world cursed by the dark side.
Folks diverse in nature.
Folks diverse in culture.

Different personalities.
Different responsibilities.
The differences make everyone the same.
The differences make everyone tame.

Are we all we are?
Are we all following the right star?
Hand in hand into the promise land.
Turn our faces into the sun.

See the light at the end of the tunnel.
See the future outside the funnel.
We bring colors into this world
So, spread colors with our words.

Two Lonely Hearts Beat in the Dark

Two lonely hearts beat in the dark,
one is walking on tightrope
the other is chained in the prison cell
wondering when will this thing end.

Two lonely hearts beat in the dark,
one is turning psycho
the other’s still living in shadow
waiting for a miracle snatched by vain.

Who are you today? Tomorrow?
Two lonely hearts beat in the dark
playing the role of the strangers
on the road once forgotten.

Where did the love go?
Two lonely hearts beat in the dark
contemplating about shattered promises
being uttered when they were sober.

Hurry up! Hurry up!
Ride some horses instead of turtles.
Two lonely hearts beat in the dark
wishing for the time to go slow.

Speak up! Speak up!
Word of mouth is missing in action
Two lonely hearts beat in the dark
get down to the nitty-gritty of the problem.

Feel the dark entity everywhere
Ghastly ghost from the past
becomes a customary tradition when
two lonely hearts beat in the dark.

Hear the whisper of silence
Smell the bouquet of deceits
What will happen after, when
two lonely hearts beat in the dark.

For Everyone Who’s Ever Loved Someone They Weren’t Supposed To…

Smell the bouquet of deceits.

This one’s for you.
It’s okay not to be okay.
Go ahead, cry and eat some cake.
Never mind the bitter taste.

Just be like, drinking alone in the moonlight
Or let it run like a river.
Sing your favorite heartbreak tune – our national anthem,
Go dancing crazy like Taylor’s or like no one’s watching.

You don’t need a man;
You don’t need a woman
To satisfy you.
Go ahead, do it solo: try a different panache.

Set free from the remnants left on the kitchen floor
The tears in the rain will dry soon
The scars will become your stars
Mark my word: You will be better than fine.

And if they come back like you’re the last option,
Raise one finger in the air,
Give a blank stare,
Walk proudly: they deserve it!

For everyone who’s ever loved someone they weren’t supposed to
I know, it is hard at first
but the pain imprinted on your skin like a tattoo
will be your art, somehow, someday soon.

II

Do not pick up the breadcrumbs unintentionally drop on the road
They’re leftovers; no longer edible.
Chin up! Do not slouch.
Smile, you’re the winner; they’re the loser.

Hear them whine,
That’s the job of a swine.
Let them mourn for their lost,
While you are sitting on a throne made of dime.

If your love was not reciprocated,
Flip your hair, don’t give a sigh.
Show some tranquility,
and never turn back.

Be like a soldier
Trained to fight by night
Throw the grenade
To shut them up in throwing some shade.

Be like a kite
Look how high you can fly
But always remember to not lose grip on the string in your hands
As you look back when you fall.

For everyone who’s ever loved someone they weren’t supposed to:
You are not alone.
Let’s circumnavigate Bermuda Triangle
Not to be puzzled, but to celebrate the mystery of life.

Heads up!
Be gay!
Together, let’s get out from the blue bed of lies.
It’s time to stop the rain from falling.

The Journey Begins

Thanks for joining me!

“Good company in a journey makes the way seem shorter. — Izaak Walton”

Through this blog, I want to commemorate those moments, memories, opportunities, learning experiences and many many things I could not hope and imagine for  that I considered a happenstance in my life.  I will be forever grateful to the gifts God bestowed upon me and by that, I would like to share it with you through my art. May this art be an instrument of light, hope and love.
